I am a contemporary political artist and activist, aspiring to educate and inform individuals of the devastating events that are taking place across the world as a direct result of warfare: something mainstream media is failing to achieve due to the shift into the ways in which sensationalised information is distributed. This establishes a need for an appropriate platform in which difficult subject matters can be presented to an audience receptive to learning. Art creates that platform. ​ For three years I have been following  the Syrian Civil War and have drawn from the events taking place within Syria to inform my practice. ​ Currently, I am working alongside Afraa Hashem, a Syrian Activist whose story of protest and demonstration against President Al Assad was shown in the Oscar nominated documentary ‘For Sama’. ​
